The dashboard is an overview page that can be individually edited and customized. A general dashboard (system dashboard) can be created, which can only be edited by administrators (or the designated group of people). In addition to the system dashboard, each user also has the option to create one or more personal dashboards, and additional dashboards can be created for specific user groups, departments, or branches. To customize the dashboard, widgets can be added. Besides adding widgets, you can change their color and position, as well as edit each individual widget using the pencil icon at the top right. If multiple dashboards are created or used, they can be selected in the left menu. The menu also shows which dashboard you are currently in.
The system dashboard is public and thus visible to everyone. For data protection reasons, please refrain from adding widgets here that contain confidential data, even if the system automatically hides them from other user groups. The system dashboard can, for example, be used as a bulletin board for central announcements.
Under "+ Add new dashboard" you can create additional dashboards – depending on your access rights, you can create your own, further public dashboards or dashboards for specific user groups. This way, it is possible to keep all relevant information in view. Just like with the system dashboard, you can add widgets and edit the dashboard.
Under "Edit dashboard" you can change the name, description, and layout, as well as, depending on the widget, make various settings and adapt them to your personal requirements. You can also lock the dashboard here. This means that changing the widgets is no longer possible until the checkmark is removed again.
The personal dashboard can be edited by each user individually, while all others can only edit it with the appropriate access rights.
