The project is the top of our three levels in CrewBrain on which you can work. If you want to create a project, this is usually done via the plus sign in the calendar at the top right. If you work a lot with projects, it can also make sense to set that clicking on the date in the calendar opens a project instead of a job (Administration > Calendar > General).
There are two differences between projects and jobs. Unlike jobs, projects do not necessarily have to be created with a date and time, and employees cannot be requested or booked in a project. To request or book employees, you need to create a job or subjob within the project. With these two differences, projects can also be used differently. For example, you can create projects like "Office" or "Warehouse". For this, you just enter the title when creating the project and save it. Since you do not specify a date and time, the project does not appear in the calendar but does appear in the time clock. This way, you do not have to create separate jobs for employees working in the office or warehouse to record their times. They can then simply record their times via the time clock or manually for the corresponding project.
If projects should not be visible in the time clock or only visible to certain user groups, configure this under Administration > Projects > Defaults.
Just like with jobs, you can here create tasks, write comments and/or upload documents, create invoice inserts, specify travel expenses, view statistics or create individual tabs.
