You can create your time-off (or unavailable times for vehicles) at different places:
In the "Add time-off" window, select the period of the time-off. If the time-off falls on school holidays or other notice periods stored in the system, this will be displayed when applying. If the time-off is not to be all-day, remove the checkmark at the appropriate place. You can now specify an exact time or a "daily recurring period". Optionally, enter the reason for the time-off. However, specifying the category is important so that the system knows from which time account the time-off is deducted:
Please note that when creating a new time-off category (Administration > Time-off & Time recording > Categories), you must define the correct time account.
If the time-off or sick note should also be counted on normally free days (e.g., weekend or official holiday), the checkmark "relevant on free days" must be set. This way, for example, a sick note can also be recorded for a day on which the affected person would normally not work but was scheduled.
If it has been specified under Administration > Time-off & Absence > General that a replacement must be defined for a certain time-off category during the time-off period, enter their name here. Alternatively, a standard replacement can be stored in the base data profile of each employee, which is then automatically set as the replacement. Alternatively, it can also be stored in the base data profile that a certain employee does not require a replacement. The replacement must approve the time-off requests before they are sent to the manager. If the employee is scheduled in a job during the selected time-off period, this is displayed to him. He has the option to set the "Request / booking status to 'not available'".
Whether and by whom the time-off must be approved is defined under Administration > Time-off & Absence > General or in the user groups (Administration > General > User groups).
Time-off can be copied in the time-off request itself, at the top right. For example, to quickly and easily record the vocational school days of trainees over longer periods.
