CrewBrain defines a “scheduler” as the person responsible for the planning and scheduling ahead of the job date. The scheduler can be specified individually for each job, and more than one person can be selected.
If an employee is specified as the scheduler, this person automatically has additional permissions for the respective job, regardless of their normal permissions:
In addition to employees, freelancers can also be specified as schedulers. By default, the selection dialog only displays employees, but as soon as a search term is entered, freelancers are also offered for selection.
A distinction must be made between the ‘Scheduler’ user group and the ‘Scheduler’ line in the job/project. If you want a person to belong to the ‘Scheduler’ user group but not have individual permissions, copy the user group and deactivate the corresponding permissions. You can now assign the new user group to the person in their profile. The permissions are thus restricted.
The additional permissions associated with the ‘Scheduler’ line in the job, as described above, are granted to every person regardless of the user group as soon as they are entered in this line as a scheduler. All employees or freelancers can be entered in this line. The additional permissions then apply to them only for this job.
